Why did you choose the career for which you are preparing?

The reason I choose Psychology as my major and for the career, in which I am preparing, is for the simple reason that I loved the topic and classes I had in high school. Going in to my senior year of high school, I didn't have a clue what I wanted to major in while a lot of my friends around me already had plans on their majors. Ever since taking that first class, I have been fascinated with the human mind, brain, and the behaviors that we all share. All throughout my grade school "career" I always did well when it came to writing essays and papers. I did not really notice my interest in writing until my freshman year in college. However, my laziness did come around and "bite me in the butt" and I did not get too much done my first semester. My second semester was a different story, thankfully, and I was able to really able to try and show my full potential to my professors and was able to get much higher grades. On the papers I did not do so great on, I took the notes, comments, and criticisms as a way to better my writing skills and help me to develop the proper writing style I needed. While working on the two studies may bring a lot of challenges, the many all-nighter study sessions, the tons of papers I will have to write, and the many years of schooling and classes to take, it should not be impossible for me to pursue each to the highest educational level I can achieve.
